We had the pleasure of meeting Tigh thru the American Pointing Labrador Association! Tigh has a true passion of training & bringing out the intelligence & trainability in your dog.  

We have a Male that we wanted to achieve his Master Hunter title, we felt very confident as we asked Tigh if he would consider handling our dog in AKC events so he could earn his AKC Master Hunter title. Within approximately three months of Tigh working with our dog & handling him, our dog had his MH title.

Tigh is a trainer we would totally trust sending any of our dogs to!!

I did the early retriever training on my pointing lab Sander. After he was force fetched, through single T and doing beginning doubles, I handed him over to Tigh to continue his advanced retriever training. Tigh gave Sander daily opportunities with doubles, triples, blinds on land and water and also continued the upland work with steady to wing and shot. With Tigh's technical pond, Sander was new looks and challenges every time out and had the ability to learn swim by and cheating.

Tigh is a hard worker and cares about the details and knows how to get the finished product without cutting any corners.   never worried about Sander getting worked or cared for while at Tigh's. Tigh has served as a judge at hunt test events and has an advantage when it comes to training because he knows how to set up training scenarios which will give your dog real test level looks. I highly recommend Tigh for your retriever training.

My wife and I purchased a started dog (Buck) from Diamondback Kennels in January of 2023.  I really enjoyed how helpful Tigh and his wife were for me before and after selecting Buck.  Buck is exceptional in the field while also proving to be a great house dog for our family of 8.

Our most heartfelt thanks to Tigh and Kelly for our beautiful Lottie Lou. She is absolutely amazing; in every single way. She is exactly what we were looking for in a family hunting dog; she is not only beautiful, but is patient, friendly, fast, lovable and best of all – a fierce pointer/retriever! I’ve had labs for pheasant hunting my entire life and have never had one perform even close to Lottie, even at her young age.

It was important for us to hire a trainer that would love Lottie as much as we do – and Tigh proved to do just that. Tigh was great with communication while Lottie was with him for training, which helped our young kids that were missing their puppy! It is impossible to convey to you in words how grateful we are for her! There has been no greater joy for me than watching her lock hard on point in front of my son and watching him shoot his first bird (with Lottie then retrieving the bird directly to his hand to boot!). Lottie is my top dog while out guiding at various preserves in SD. Her ability to stay focused in the field, point and flush birds are impressive qualities but nothing compared to her long-distance retrieves – I’ve never seen anything like it! I get complements on Lottie’s hunting ability as well as her mannerism every time I’m out hunting with friends / guiding. She is a joy to our family.

It’s evident that Tigh is passionate about his career and his success is reflective of that. He has become a great friend and is always willing to answer my questions and give appropriate guidance. We’ve been blown away with Lotties abilities both on and off the field. We’d recommend Diamondback Kennels to anyone looking for a high quality lab and/or high quality training - where you and your dog are treated like family.
